This poem is tribute the poet is showcasing to their father and it is very well written. The poem also has a rhyme scheme of “aabb” and the flow is maintained throughout, which is appreciable. This poem praises the efforts of a father and thanks him for doing what he has been doing all this while. The poet uses descriptions such as “umbrella in the rain” “guiding light” and “rainbow of my sky” to portray the sense of security they feel from their father. The only drawback of this poem is the grammar in the second line “The most strong, loving and versatile”. The most strong is not a correct wording and strongest is the right term to use it. Overall, it’s a feel-good poem expressing the poet’s gratitude towards their father.
