    Autumn mingling with our tale
    Beautiful yet meant to fail.
    Cracked and withered, but here my heart
    Like those leaves, I am falling apart.
    It’s getting colder in my chest
    Sunshine of your love beginning to fade.
    Our roots famished yet grounded soul deep
    But my branches hope starved, standing empty.
    Nights now darker, longer in your search
