I am afraid of the demons,
Lurking in the dark streets,
Always ready to pounce on me.
I am afraid of being alone,
In the night, at my home,
Frightened that they will find me.
I am afraid of the darkness,
Where everyone is blinded,
There are demons that i can see.
I am afraid that my people won’t believe me,
That they think I am the one who is guilty,
And those monsters are left free.
Another night in the city,
A girl is humming happily,
Unaware of the demons who,
For their next prey are ready.
