  • Fallen Guardian

They were there at the beginning
They were to stand till the end
They were the pillars for creation
For those that were yet to come.
    They stood, and they watched
    A guardian from atop.
And now they lay, broken and bound
At the hands of their charge.
The care and adore, and the endless whispers
Now silent weeping of the lands left barren.
And now you mourn your silent guardian
Trying and failing to revive the earth.
Now you weep your lost protector
    Your ‘oh, so precious’ need,
    Long buried in your greed.
