Not everything is fair

I am in a grave pain
Bcoz things of mine are in vain
My memories, feelings, emotions hmm nobody cares
For them everything is fair
Fair in love and war
It could be fair for them but for me it’s a shattered world.
With no secured home and my identity at stake
Walking through streets, borders and airports
Begging in front of them
Begging to accept me.
But they denied since they call me a refugee.
How weird my destiny is
who was a citizen till yesterday has become a refugee today.
It takes only one bomb to make my life doom.
They took all away from me knowing that i hv nothing to loose
And why not bcoz their avarice weighs more than the humanity.
From things being permanent to temporary, my life has entirely
changed
And who changed, they changed
On the pretext of that evrything is fair in love and war.
No no no…. Not evrything is fair in love and war.

  1. Review:
The dark turn on the classic, ‘Not everything is fair in love and war’ that you’ve portrayed through the eyes of a refugee is vivid and breathtaking. The contrast between fair and wrong is clearly visible. The poetry portrays a message that is very clear to understand, and yet very heavy on the heart.

Though, I personally feel that the rhythm of myself reading the poem is constantly disturbed through the condensation of words such as ‘Bcoz, hv’ and usage of punctuations is a little lazy.

The poem however, is beautiful and drives me home.
