The city will forget me.
There will be new footprints in the sand,
And mine will wear off.
There will be a new scent in the air,
Taking over the one that I left behind.
There will be rain pattering on the window,
And I won’t be there to hear it.
You will forget me.
There will be new names,
On the walls of your heart.
Mine will be covered.
Somewhere in the back,
