The Night is Young

The streaks of beautiful red!
Blending with the orange
Unknowingly witnessing the audience
Of emotions, albeit nothing outlandish
Plain longing, simple sigh…
Just love
I wonder what it tastes like
Frosting? Tip of ice cream cone?
The tinge slowly disappears
Casting long shadows
Last rays of longing
Followed by something just as amazing
Waxing gibbous, it was today
Receiving the sparkle of eyes,
Smile.
Longing turned to hope.

This poem is humbly crafted with generous natural imageries that makes the reader’s mind to picture the dusk, as it should. Nature poets preferred to keep their poetry simple and meaningful, and this free verse poem is both simple and creative, as the author wrote it in her own form. To sum it up, it is a pleasing read for nature poetry lovers.
