  1. The poem is a free verse with no strict meter. It consists of one stanza and is rhythmic which adds music to the poem. The rhyming scheme is a,a,a,b,a,a. In the forth line, “so you keep going… doesn’t matter who’s there, here or where;” the poet has used consonance in the words, ” there, here or where.”
The poem is about the realities of life. The poet is talking about how you are the only person in your life who is going to be there for yourself. She speaks that you are the only one who will be there for you in the time of need and everyone will abandon you. The poet is asking for the readers to be vigilant. all that matters is how you take care of yourself and excel in life. If you keep working towards your goals and take care of yourself and love yourself, nothing else matters and one day for sure you will achieve them with your hardwork and determination.
