सावन बीता जाये
प्रियतम तुम न आये।

मस्त पवन संग डोले किसलय
ताल – तलैया, सागर में लय,
बादल नभ पर छाये
प्रियतम तुम न आये।

कलियों पर है छायी लाली
झूमे बेसुध कोमल डाली,
मधुकर तान सुनाये
प्रियतम तुम न आये।

चूमें धरती चंचल – किरणें
महकी हवा लगी मन हरने,
रुत आये रुत जाये
प्रिमतम तुम न आये।

सावन की ये काली रातें
गरजे घटा घोर बरसातें,
विरह बहुत तड़पाये
प्रियतम तुम न आये।

सूना आँगन , सूने झूले
जा परदेश पिया तुम भूले,
कजरा बह- बह जाये
प्रियतम तुम न आये।
