Sea shell
June 21, 2023 in English Poetry
I was your sea shell, Or so I believed.
You know the pretty ones
That you take home and show them off?
The one that you believe you are lucky to have? Kind of like a four leaf Clover
I wish I was your sea shell
When you picked me up
And looked with your starry gaze.
I believe that our endings, like sunsets, was going to be beautiful and happy.
I believed and believed and believed but I forgot that sometimes,
sunset ends tragically as dark night with no star..
I believed I was your sea shell,
But Alas! I was just a pebble that you threw in the ocean and it drowned.
