एक माँ

सबका ध्यान भी रखती है,
अत्यंत दुलार भी करती है,
प्यार भी करती है,
न कभी बुरा सोचती है,
एक माँ।
मेरा सताने से भी उसके प्यार में कमी ना दिखी,
यह बात उसकी बहुत भाती है,
रात में लोरी सुनाकर सुलाती है,
उसकी गोद में सारी दुनिया की फ़िकर भूल जाती है,
ऐसा क्या जादू करती है,
एक माँ।
डाँट भी सुनाती है,
रुलाके चुप भी कराती है,
पर सफलता भी तभी मिल पाती है,
जब थोड़ा ऊँचा सुनाती है,
एक माँ।
इतना दर्द झेल जाती है,
बच्चे को अपनी कोख में पालती है,
फ़िर भी कुछ ना सुनाती है,
इतना धैर्य कैसे लाती है,
एक माँ ।
If I Loved Myself

I wander here and there,
I look for happiness in people around,
But I still feel lost,
The never going loneliness stays
And makes me feel the never healing wounds.
Whom should I talk?
I think , sitting in a corner of my room,
I weap and curse myself,
I feel like I lost myself,
I feel I am not worth anything,
Whom should I talk?
Then I turn myself,
Towards loving myself,
A day I start with prayers,. I go around listening to songs,
I smile and laugh and feel good, I see the flowers and smile,
And admire everyone who comes along,
And then I got the magic I had,
I just realised how graceful life would have been,
If I loved myself.
