Ferris Wheel

June 19, 2023 in English Poetry

To you,
We are sitting on different seats on the Ferris wheel,
My world started around you from a distance,
I looked up and saw you looking at me,
I see you,
I see how heavy your shoulder started weighing in course of time with my weight,
This person writing to you wants a space beside you to hold you when you feel cold,
To have you beside them while they blow their candles to wish that you might see how much I crave for you,
The longing for your love is an extension of hope,
You brighten things up even if the days seem gloomy,
Every tear which ran across your skin I wish I could have drowned in that sorrow to understand your worth,
I see you and I see what I have done,
This heart feels empty without your existence,
It misses your presence as a lover,
The best one I have come across which can never be replaced,
I hope that you know I am building the castle of change with every inch of energy I have in me,
I know there’s more to it,
But I promise to reach there as well,
You are the moon and your light reaches every corner of my skin,
“Happy together” is what I vision every morning I wake up,
I want you and your best self around me for which I am stepping up to be better,

All I ask is not to push me away as I want to be is closer and gradually come forward and stand beside you looking towards the what’s next for us.

The Ferris wheel is standing still,
If we ever will,
Two seats beside each other,
Waiting for us to sit next to one another.
For you to say yes and agree,
Of being together.

This Ferris wheel is my hope and imagination before I sleep and after I wake up.
