Nature O Nature

In a garden, flowers bloom,
Colors brighten up the room.
Sunshine kisses petals fair,
Nature’s beauty everywhere.

Birds on branches chirp and sing,
Melodies that make hearts spring.
Butterflies with wings so wide,
Flutter gracefully, side by side.

Grass beneath our feet feels nice,
Soft and green, like emerald ice.
Breezes whisper through the trees,
Caressing gently, like a gentle squeeze.

In this world of simple delight,
Nature’s wonders bring us light.
Take a moment, stop and see,
The beauty that surrounds you and me.

  1. The poem is filled with nature and it’s beauty. The poet highlights every aspect of nature and reminds the readers to look at the wonder around. The rhyming scheme AABB CCDD EEFF has been followed and this makes the poem more beautiful. Also with the usage of rhyme and nature, the poem reminds us of the Romantic period poems which were found of nature.
In the first stanza, we find the poet finds nature to be his room as he considers the flowers lighting up his room. The sun is personified as it kisses the petals to the exact colour, to its exact beauty. In the second stanza, the creatures that can fly are admired for their melodies and for the beauty of their wings. In the third stanza, a simile is used where green grass feels like ice and here the freshness and the soothness from the green layer is cherished. The breeze is personified here to give the poet a gentle squeeze which is more like the touch of a loved one. In the fourth stanza, the poet wants us to admire nature just like him. Often in our busy life we tend to forget the nature that surrounds us and take everything for granted. We need to be thankful and feel glad of this wonderful nature.
