You know how it feels?

You know how it feels??
To dig ur grave yourself
To crave for someone
Who takes you as no one
You know how it feels??
When you know it’s not for you
When you delve deeper
Somewhere you shouldn’t
You know how it feels??
When he is your dream come true
But he is having dreams of her
When he is your until I met you
You know how it feels??
When he is becoming your world
And you are just someone in his world
And still you keep going there
You know how it feels??
To be upset and happy
At the same time
And knowing that it will hurt
Actually,
Yes you do know how it feels
Cz we are all the same
With same mistakes and same regrets
Just in different way
And with different people .

  1. As a poet myself I can hear the sorrows and sadness screaming and crying altogether at the same time while writing this. It is indeed a poem many of us would relate to . The depthness is not clear but the emotions are clear as daylight

  2. This piece of poetry throws light upon that side of Love which is whole-hearted and pure but mostly left unseen and quite painful.
One-sided love is embraced a lot but no words can do enough justice to the pain and hurt that a one-sided lover bears.

You know that it’s not going to work but still you want to go into it and feel it, you are going deeper into that process or feeling which you know won’t give any outcome and will hurt you. When you realize that you have met ‘your person’, when you find your whole world in that one person but at the same time you know that you can’t get that person…
The feeling that tags along with these things is what the poet has centralized here, in this poem.

The poet has shown the dilemma of the person who feels this beautiful feeling but knows that the other person is not feeling the same.
The dilemma is whether to be happy or upset. Happy because you get to feel the most beautiful feeling in this world which is LOVE and upset because you know you won’t get your Love.
Here, the poet has made it relatable to all its readers because everyone out there in this world has felt this feeling in some way or the other. The situation might be different, the way might be different, the people might be different but the feel is the same.

By this, the poem which started from a question of “You know how it feels?”, coming till its end has beautifully made the reader feel it’s every essence and has ended with a remark of “Yes you do know how it feels.”
